David Gibson

David is a native of Orange County, California. He started his commercial real estate career as an acquisition specialist for Capital Realty Investors, a private investment firm. In 2006 David joined Grubb & Ellis in Tampa where he specialized in third party leasing of retail centers and tenant representation. He represented For Eyes Optical, Texas Roadhouse and other retailers and restaurant chains. He affiliated with Equity, a retail and office developer and third-party tenant representation, leasing and property management firm. While at Equity David gained additional experience in site selection for retail development, property management, leasing of retail shopping centers and tenant representation for national retailers. David has been responsible for finding several retail projects and freestanding retail locations for clients such as IHOP, Applebee’s, Dave & Buster’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Stop to name a few. Following Equity David joined Roberts & Associates where he served as a representative of Sears Holdings as a broker and master broker seeking to match non-productive space in operating Sears and Kmart stores in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky Arkansas and Tennessee. David has leased more than 1,000,000 square feet of retail property for institutions including Sears Holdings, Inland, Weingarten, WC Capital, Atlantic Coast Developers, and UP Development.

Currently David is the President of Iron Gate Property Group. Iron Gate offers property management, leasing, tenant representation, acquisition and disposition services.

David was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he played three years and one year with the Indianapolis Colts. David is a graduate of the University of Southern California. At USC David was a three year starter at linebacker and safety receiving all Pac-10 honors two years and serving as a captain in his senior year. He lives in Tampa with his wife and two sons.
